The Embrace Your Sisters’ (EYS) Positively Pink in Pittsford Walk fundraiser scheduled for September 27 has been canceled for this year. This would have been the 10th annual event.
EYS provides emergency financial support for people with breast cancer. Their service area has expanded to include 13 counties around the Finger Lakes: Allegany, Cayuga, Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne and Yates counties. They serve these communities with a 100% volunteer staff.
The funds raised by Embrace Your Sisters are used in a variety of ways for breast cancer patients including: utility bills, rent/mortgage, property taxes, transportation to and from treatment, hearing aids, car/insurance payment, medical bills, Lymphedema sleeve, and more.
